Child Found Dead in Pondok Indah River

A child was found dead floating in the river next to housing complex Bukit Golf Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Sunday, a police official says.

The dead child was identified as Doni and was found by Tandas Suwarno, a caddy at the housing complex's golf course.

Head of Cilandak Police Comr. Makmur Simbolon said that according to some witnesses who saw the accident, Doni was playing around with his friends at Tarogong Bridge, which is not far from the housing complex, when he suddenly fell down and got carried by the river streams to the housing complex area.

"The body was brought to Fatmawati Hospital to be examined," he said as quoted by detik.com. The Jakarta Post
